Joe Baily

It’s not easy to detail my professional career, which is a mixed background of entrepreneurialism, marketing, sales, publishing, technology, customer service and business operations working for some great companies and working with some amazing people.

During my career I have:

• Built an award-winning, multi-million-pound, profitable business from scratch 
• Acquired and integrating two businesses
• Developed a consistent, reliable, and profitable client base
• Hired hundreds of people, including a senior management team
• Worked internationally 
• Developed a true culture, not just for vanity!
• Managed plenty of campaigns and projects
• Developed brands through digital, tech, media, and design 
• Created numerous business processes to help facilitate growth
• Exited a business  

Prior to starting Generate UK back 2007 I worked in Sydney, Australia for a large publishing business and I was lucky to work for an amazing boss. She taught me that whatever is thrown at you, you need to stay calm and address the situations head on. She taught me the value of SMART working and this advice has always stayed with me, helping me to create one of the leading digital agencies in the UK and to do so with a positive attitude and a smile. 

In 2015 I was invited to join the West Berkshire Chamber of Commerce committee, a committee focused on helping the business community in West Berkshire. In 2018 I was asked to lead the committee. https://www.thamesvalleychamber.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/West-Berkshire-LPPS_2021.pdf 

It's a position I'm proud to still hold today. It allows me to continually talk to businesses directly and work on some exciting initiatives, with the aim to support and make a positive difference to the local community.

This year (2022) I made a leap of faith, by exiting Generate UK, an agency I co-founded back in 2008.  Professionally, Generate UK has been my biggest achievement of my life Throughout the journey the people, culture, clients, partners and friendship I created have been intrinsic to the success of the business.  

It was an extremely hard decision, but in life timing is everything, and I wanted to create a new chapter which included new opportunities for both the business and myself. 

My exit has allowed me to pursuit new ventures, whilst launching The Red Partnership, a business focused on developing partnerships with a select number of companies to help achieve their objectives through measurable and tangible results, passing on both knowledge and experience, adding value where required.
